About the event
Spend the morning interacting with a personal American odyssey including paintings, poetry, and narrative by Chaim Bezalel and Yonnah Ben Levy, a husband-and-wife artist collaboration. Bezalel-Levy collaborate on mixed media paintings combining photography, oils, oil pastels, or watercolors on rice paper or cotton rag paper. Since they began collaborating in 1990, they have opened Stanwood House Gallery & Art Center in Stanwood, Washington in a restored hundred-year-old landmark building to which they added a modern, architecturally designed ceramic studio. The couple will explore art and poetry with a presentation that will include several original scrolls, a video of the entire project which depicts five strategic areas of the United States as well as take participant shares, comments, and questions.
